I shouldn’t be here to tell this story.
12yrs ago the doctors told my family to say their goodbyes. They said it was physicallyimpossible for me to ever breathe on my own again, for my brain to function, or for me to walk and talk. The odds of survival were less than 1%.
But there was something greater at work – God’s grace.
When science said “impossible,” God said, “not yet.”
He performed a miracle and gave me a second chance at life. Not so I could stay silent, but so I could share what He’s done for me and what I’ve learned from walking through death and back.
This blog isn’t just about what happened to me.
It’s about what I discovered on the other side of it.
1. God Is Real.
No question about it. Talk to Him. Get to know Him. Trust and believe in Him. Everything starts and ends with Him. Period.
Every breath I take is proof of His love. I find myself in everyday moments – driving, working, talking to friends, even cooking dinner and suddenly overwhelmed with gratitude. Those moments remind me that my life is a miracle, and I cry tears of thankfulness.
I am living proof that God is real.
2. Never Take Anything for Granted.
Life is fragile. We procrastinate, assuming tomorrow is guaranteed. But the truth is, all we really have is today.
I’ve learned to appreciate the “little” things… My health, my senses, my family, my friends because they’re actually the biggest blessings of all. I remind myself every day to slow down, notice the good, and live with intention.
3. Health Comes First.
Waking up from a coma felt like my body had been asleep for ten years. I was stiff, weak, and fragile. But I made a decision: I was going to fight to get my strength back.
I hit the gym, cleaned up my diet, and started moving again – not just to look good, but to live. Our bodies are powerful, and when we take care of them, everything else in life gets better.
4. Live Your Purpose and Passion.
Since I was young, I’ve felt called to help people. But I let fear hold me back. After dying, I realized: someday isn’t promised.
Writing this and building DIEDTOLIVE is me finally stepping into my calling to inspire, to encourage, and to be a light in the darkness. If you feel a pull on your heart, don’t ignore it. Start today.
5. Focus on the Positive.
We are surrounded by negativity, and it’s easy to get lost in it. But what you focus on becomes your reality.
Every morning, I fill my mind with positivity, prayer, gratitude, motivational messages because it builds the foundation for my entire day. A negative thought may be powerful, but gratitude and faith are stronger.
DIEDTOLIVE isn’t just a blog. It’s a movement… a place to share my journey and help others find hope, faith, and gratitude in their own.
If my story helps even one person see life differently, it’s worth it.
This is about more than surviving.
It’s about truly living.
Thank you for being here. Whether you’re fighting a battle, rediscovering your faith, or just trying to find your way, I hope my story reminds you of this truth:
“Life is fragile, but God’s love is unshakable.”
Welcome to DIEDTOLIVE.
